Meet Henry

The Handsome English Bulldog Who Stole Our Hearts | Dog Photography in Hull 🐾❤️
A couple of weekends back, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Henry, a seriously handsome English Bulldog whose personality was just as big as his chunky little frame!
As a Hull-based pet photographer, I love capturing the unique personalities of our four-legged friends, and Henry certainly gave me plenty of character to work with!
Henry’s dad kindly trusted me to look after him and agreed to leave him with me and my family for his outdoor dog photoshoot. Now, you might expect a dog to be a little unsure about being left with people he doesn’t know particularly well, but not Henry!
He settled in like he’d lived with us his entire life. No fuss, no worries, just a chunky bundle of bulldog charm making himself right at home. 😂
An Outdoor Dog Photoshoot in Sutton Village, Hull
We decided to take Henry to the park in Sutton village, Hull, for his dog photography session. There was just one small problem… Henry wasn’t particularly keen on the journey!
In fact, the three-minute walk to the park was apparently far too much effort for this handsome gentleman, so I ended up having to drive him instead. 🤣
Honestly, you couldn’t make it up! Most dogs are desperate to get out for a walk, but Henry had clearly decided that walking was beneath him. Why use your legs when you can have a personal chauffeur?
A Chunky Bulldog With a Mind of His Own!
And that stubbornness didn’t stop there. If Henry decided he didn’t want to move, then guess what?
Henry wasn’t moving. End of discussion. 😂
You could try persuading him, encouraging him, negotiating with him… but when an English Bulldog has made his mind up, you’re probably better off accepting defeat!
Bless My 6 year old son Maddox for trying to move him, but when your outmuscled then you are always losing a game of power.
But honestly, that’s all part of what makes outdoor pet photography so special. It’s not just about taking a pretty picture; it’s about capturing those little quirks, the expressions and the personality that make every dog completely unique.
Whether I’m photographing children outdoors or capturing beautiful dog portraits, I love creating relaxed, natural photographs that show the real personality behind the face.
And Henry certainly gave me plenty of personality to work with!

We Wish We Could Have Kept Him!
Henry was chunky, handsome, full of character and an absolute joy to have around. By the end of it, we’d all fallen for him, and I genuinely wished we could have kept him as part of the family. ❤️
Henry, you were an absolute pleasure, and we loved having you stay with us. You might have only been here for a photoshoot, but you certainly left your paw prints on our hearts.
Although I suspect you’d have refused to leave anyway if you’d decided you liked us! And if you had, I’d probably have had to drive you home too. 🤣🐾
